I have received the items I ordered but the invoice was missing.
The invoice is sent under seperate cover and will arrive 2-3 days after the first delivery.


I have forgotten my username/password, can you please send me this information?

I have moved and need to update my contact information.
To update your contact information at Swedenbookshop.com, sign in and update your profile here. It is also possible to update your profile by sending us an e-mail with your new information to [email protected]


I want my books delivered to a separate delivery address, is that possible?
Yes, it is possible to specify a separate delivery address when checking out your order.   


If I place an order today, when can I expect to receive the delivery?
If we have the material in stock, an order within Sweden is normally delivered within 5 working days after it is received. Outside Sweden, an order is normally delivered from Sweden Bookshop within 10 working days after it is received.



How much will I pay for freight?
The cost of freight varies depending on destination and weight of the package. Please find the different costs below (exclusive of VAT, 25 percent).
Sweden: SEK 39
Europe: 0-2 kg (0-4.4 lbs.): SEK 119
Europe:  >2 kg (>4.4 lbs.): SEK 219
Outside Europe: 0-2 kg (0-4.4 lbs.): SEK 139
Outside Europe:  >2 kg (>4.4 lbs.): SEK 599

Please note that we cannot deliver packages with a weight exceeding 2 kg (4.4 lbs.) to Russia or to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

For all international orders, additional customs duties and other fees can arise in accordance with regulations in the recipient country.

Where can I check current exchange rates for the Swedish krona (SEK)?

Can I pay the invoice in EURO?
No, we only accept Swedish kronor (SEK), but you have the possibility to pay by credit card.


What information do I need to register when placing an order at Sweden Bookshop? How will this information be used?
When you register with Sweden Bookshop and/or place an order, we need to know your name, postal address, e-mail address and phone number. (If Corporate Clients - within EU - wish to be invoiced exclusive of VAT, they must also provide their valid VAT-registration number). This information allows us to fulfil your order and notify you of the status of your order. We will protect this information, will not pass it on, nor use it for any other purpose than to deliver your ordered goods and get in contact with you.


Can I be invoiced exclusive of VAT (moms)?
Customers may be invoiced exclusive of VAT in the following cases:

1) the order is for delivery to a non-EU country, or
2) the order is for delivery to an EU country other than Sweden and the Corporate Client has provided a valid VAT-registration number for the country in question in its registration details at Swedenbookshop.com.

In all other cases customers will be charged Swedish VAT.


I have been informed that the item I wish to order is out of stock. When will you have it in stock?
If an item is out of stock when you place your order, please contact our Customer Service at [email protected], for further information on delivery dates.



How can I cancel my order?
You can cancel an order placed with us by contacting or Customer Service at [email protected]



How can I return unwanted, incorrect, faulty or damaged items?
You can return books in their original condition and any other merchandise in new condition with original packaging within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. If the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.) Sweden Bookshop will also pay the return shipping costs.

Why are there so few titles available in Swedish?
Sweden Bookshop is specialized on books about Sweden and Swedish litterature in translation. Our focus is therefore on other languages than Swedish.
 

Can I buy gift certificates at Sweden Bookshop?
Unfortunately not, for the time being. 
 

Where is Sweden Bookshop located and what are your opening hours?
The Swedish Institute’s bookstore, Sweden Bookshop on Slottsbacken 10 in Stockholm, is from September 15, 2012 closed for business. All publications produced by the Swedish Institute can still be found at www.swedenbookshop.com.
